The Birth of Texican
Our founder, Don Spilger, was looking for an option that would better serve corn tortilla chips, which are traditionally served in Mexican restaurants.
He soon realized there wasn't anything that existed to fit his needs. So he decided to make it himself. Thus, the Texican was born.

Our First Debut
The first Texican Tostada Dispenser debut to the food industry during the Texas Restaurant Association Exposition of 1989 in Houston, TX and was well received. No one had seen anything quite like this before.

Meet The Team
JB Spilger
President
JB is the man behind it all! He joined the Texican family with his father, Don Spilger, back in 1997. He worked along side Don until his father's retirement in 2012. JB puts every ounce of passion and care he has into each and every phone call answered and every machine shipped out. It is obvious by the quality of our work! When he is not at work he enjoys working out, reading and spending time with his family and grandchildren. On the sunny days, he's out on the driving range!
Michelle Spilger
CFO
Michelle has been along side JB for almost 30 years, but only with Texican for about 15. After Michelle took on one of the most rewarding jobs, being a stay at home mom, she decided to take on even MORE and join JB at Texican. She does all the behind the scene work and manages everything inside the office. She even brings lunch! From her seasonal candles to her impeccable book keeping, we wouldn't be Texican without her. When she isn't keeping the rest of us in line, she enjoys cooking, working out and relishing her time as a grandmother.
Kayleigh Diaz
Vice President of Marketing
Despite the name change, Kayleigh is the daughter of JB and Michelle. She joined the Texican team after having her first daughter, Presley. She brings a bit of youth and light to our team and helps manage all things marketing and social media. Kayleigh also manages the warehouse and is the one shipping out all of your orders! When she isn't packaging orders, she loves to spend time with her husband and two children and their new dog Jeaux!
